Individuals

Who do you work with?

I see individuals (ages 14 and up) dealing with a range of topics, including:

  • Stress
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Life transitions
  • Immigration and cultural integration
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Personal growth

Therapeutic Approach

As an integrative therapist, I incorporate short-term, evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), as well as Narrative Therapy and Family Systems Approach.

How does therapy work?

There are 4 parts to individual therapy:

Assessment

The first few sessions are spent on assessing your therapy needs, based on your personal history, your strengths and difficulties, and issues that brought you to therapy. In some situations, psychological testing may be used.

Goal setting

Assessment findings are shared with you and we agree on achievable goals for the treatment.

Reaching the goals

We work on achieving the goals utilizing therapeutic methods that are best suitable to address your issues.

We periodically check progress towards achieving the goals.

Planning for the future

After your goals are achieved, we will plan for the future to help minimize a relapse of going back to the old ways.

All services are currently being provided via telehealth.
