About Marta Bras, LMHC- Professional Relationship Therapist

I am a licensed mental health counselor and relationship therapist in Washington, providing thoughtful, evidence-based therapy for individuals, couples, and families. My work focuses on helping people navigate communication challenges, emotional disconnection, and life transitions, while supporting deeper understanding and connection in relationships.

  • A calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space
  • Collaborative exploration of relationship patterns
  • Practical tools for communication and conflict
  • Respect for each partner’s experience and goals

My path into therapy was shaped by both professional training and lived experience. Over the years, I have worked with individuals, couples, and families facing a wide range of relational and emotional challenges, including high-conflict relationships, parenting stress, and significant life changes.

Training and Certifications

  • The Gottman Method for Couples Therapy
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Functional Family Therapy
  • Autism- and ADHD-informed couples therapy

I have been married for over 25 years and I have two grown up children. These personal experiences continue to inform my understanding of long-term relationships, family life, and the ongoing work of staying connected through change. Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy photography and spend a lot of time outdoors, climbing, hiking, skiing, or simply enjoying a cup of coffee while observing the world around me. That helps me to stay grounded and present.

I offer therapy in both English and Polish and work with clients across Washington state. Whether you are seeking support as an individual, navigating relationship challenges, or adjusting to a major life transition, I approach our work with care, professionalism, and respect for your goals.
